The trend in spine surgery for many procedures has been moving toward minimally invasive approaches. These include spine surgery for lumbar fusion, deformity surgery, and cervical surgery. Despite numerous benefits of minimally invasive spine (MIS) surgery, there is a difficult learning curve for surgeons when mastering MIS procedures. Increasing familiarity with MIS techniques creates more options for surgeons treating spine conditions with the potential to decrease surgical complications. The goal of this conference is to update spine surgeons, as well as allied health professionals on the latest advances in MIS surgical techniques.

If the course is postponed and you no longer wish to attend the course on the new date all cancellations must be submitted in writing. The Seattle Science Foundation is located on the Cherry Hill Campus of Swedish Hospital at 550 17th Avenue, James Tower, Suite 600 in Seattle, Washington. Parking is available in the garage on 16th Avenue between Cherry and Jefferson at a maximum fee of $16.50. From I-5 (northbound and southbound), James will become Cherry Street. Turn right (south) on 16th Avenue. Turn right into the main garage entrance.

Fellowship Program Reunion Dinners

It's no secret that Seattle is a city with a wealth of incredible dining options, which makes it an ideal place to hold a Fellowship Program Reunion. Register at least six fellows or former fellows of your Fellowship Program, and your program will receive a grant of $125 per person towards a Fellowship Reunion Dinner in Seattle. Limited to fellows or former fellows, not spouses and /or other guests. 

Young Surgeons- Call for Abstracts and Travel Grant

Senior residents, fellows, and surgeons who have been in practice for three or less years are invited to submit abstract(s) for a poster presentation session. Surgeons whose abstracts are selected will receive a $500 grant for their travel expenses if they present their poster and attend the meeting. Abstracts can address any subject directly relevant to minimally invasive spine surgery and must include title, authors, the text of 400 words or less, and up to two images.
