PNW O.R. Personnel Course 2024

Join course chairmen Jens R. Chapman, M.D., Rod J. Oskouian, Jr., M.D., & your colleagues, for a fun day of operating room practical tips and tricks at the Seattle Science Foundation.  The focus of the course is patient safety.  There will be a mix of hands-on surgical labs and brief highlight lectures.  There will also be lively break out sessions to cover the biggest challenges and emphasize interactive teamwork.  

The course takes place at the Seattle Science Foundation. The Foundation’s training facilities and extensive internet connectivity have been designed to foster improvements in health care through professional medical education, training, creative dialogue and innovation.

Target Audience: scrub techs, nurses, radiology techs, and operating room personnel

Course Objectives:
1.  Enhance practical and theoretical know-how of O.R. personnel involved in spine care
2.  Improve team work by having spine surgeons and O.R. nurses/ST's work side by side and discuss
     and address some common challenges
3.  Improve goodwill towards spine surgery by broadening the understanding of why we
    do spine surgery, how we do it and what our challenges are
